How To Make Money Online Without Showing Your Face

If you’ve been searching for realistic ways to make money online but don’t want to constantly post on social media or show your face every day, you’re definitely not alone.
Honestly? I think a lot of people are exhausted by social media now.
The pressure to:
constantly create content
stay visible
keep up with algorithms
film reels every day
build a personal brand
always be “on”
…it’s A LOT! And for many people, it just isn’t realistic.
As someone who’s naturally quite introverted, I’ve intentionally built online income streams over the last 14 years that don’t rely on me constantly being online all day. I’m also a mum of 6, so flexibility became incredibly important to me too.
Over the years, I’ve made money online through:
blogging
Amazon Influencer
affiliate marketing
digital products
memberships
online courses
UGC content
But honestly? Some online income streams are much easier to start than others - especially if you’re a beginner, busy, overwhelmed or simply don’t want your entire life revolving around social media.
The Biggest Mistake Most People Make
Most people try to do too much at once.
They:
try to learn everything
start multiple income streams
overconsume content
compare themselves to people online
wait until everything feels perfect
…and because of that, they never actually start.
You do not need to build everything overnight.
You just need ONE realistic starting point.
That’s exactly why I became so focused on:
faceless content
searchable content
long term content
content that continues working over time
Because I didn’t want my income relying on me constantly posting every day.
If you don’t want to constantly show your face online or feel uncomfortable posting yourself all the time, this is a really good video to watch. It talks through different ways to build income online including blogging, affiliate links, digital products, faceless content and online courses in a much more realistic and low pressure way.
UGC Is One Of The Easiest Places To Start
One of the things I love most about UGC is that you can start with products you already have at home.
You also don’t need:
a huge following
expensive equipment
professional cameras
a perfectly aesthetic house
Brands want relatable content created by real people.
That could include:
home products
beauty products
parenting products
books
cleaning products
kitchen gadgets
Amazon finds
business tools
travel products
You can even create UGC without showing your face.
Things like:
product close-ups
voiceovers
aesthetic clips
packing videos
desk setups
“things I use daily”
unboxings
cleaning videos
…all count as content brands are actively looking for.
One of the biggest things people overthink with UGC is equipment, but most creators start using just their phones.
Here’s a really helpful video showing how simple UGC content can actually be:
Amazon Influencer Completely Changed The Way I Looked At Content
Amazon Influencer is probably one of the income streams people are most surprised by.
I create videos of products I already own and upload them to Amazon. Those videos then appear directly on Amazon product pages where people are already actively searching for those products.
I still have videos I uploaded years ago that continue getting views now.
That’s one of the reasons I love searchable content so much.
Not all online income relies on constantly posting on Instagram every day.
Some content continues working long after you’ve created it.
Types of videos people create for Amazon include:
honest product reviews
“is this worth it?”
kitchen gadget demos
home finds
baby product reviews
organisation products
cleaning products
desk accessories
You just record a video on literally everything you purchase from Amazon and start making money from it!

Blogging + Pinterest Is Still One Of My Favourite Income Streams
A lot of people assume blogging is dead now because social media has taken over so much.
But honestly? Blogging is still one of my favourite income streams.
I still have blog posts I wrote 13 years ago earning money through Pinterest traffic and affiliate links.
Pinterest actually drives more traffic to my blog than Instagram does!
That’s because Pinterest works much more like a visual search engine than social media.
People are actively searching for:
ideas
products
tutorials
recommendations
inspiration
And that means your content can continue being discovered for months or even years.
This became one of my favourite ways to create long term content without constantly needing to be online all day.
You Do Not Need To Become A Full Time Influencer
I think this is the biggest thing people need to hear.
You do not need:
thousands of followers
viral reels
expensive equipment
perfect aesthetics
to constantly show your face
to be online all day
Some of the best online income streams are built around:
searchable content
faceless content
long term content
product based content
content created once that continues working over time
That completely changed the way I approached online business.
